The 21st Century Consumer’s Lament

I want it.
I want it to arrive on time.
I want it to be sent to an address that suits me.
I want it to be nicely packaged.
I want it to work straight from the box.
I want a free phone number with a real person at the other end in case I have questions.
I want to pay with a credit card without incurring extra charges.
I want a comprehensive guarantee.
I want to be made to feel like a valued customer, not a nuisance.

Is that really so much to ask?
